School finances

Schools sometimes struggle with making ends meet. While sometimes it may be a case of too little funds for too many projects, for the most part it is about proper financial planning and management.

Members of our team have wide experience dealing with school financial management having spent time on school boards, both state funded and independent schools, and working in the school financial audit sector.

We are experienced in assisting boards to construct workable budgets. We understand the intricacies of cash flow, depreciation and planned asset replacement. We are particularly focused on top quality financial reporting to the board and the preparation of the Annual Report.

We work with you and your financial service provider to get the best possible results.

Are you facing financial difficulties or are struggling with processes?

GMS has developed an Audit Review (IAR) Programme, for use in schools that are in or approaching financial difficulty; or have poor financial systems and processes

We also provide specialised training on finance, employment and property especially for first time principals
